Shootin' for a Cure is a fun filled event held the Saturday before opening day of Dove season, to help raise money for the Susan G Komen 3-Day Race for the cure. This event was started in 2009 to help 1 walker and to help with medical expenses for our dearest friend who found out earlier in the year that she too was one of hundreds of thousands of women receiving the news that she has stage 3 Breast Cancer. This event was so successful that not only did we cover her medical expenses we were able to send 2 walkers to the 3 Day 2009 in Dallas/Fort Worth. In 2010 we had a goal to send 3 walkers and because of the generous donations and great attendance we were able to send 4. It is now our 3rd event and with such great success and the continued efforts of each and everyone of you to help find a cure and rid the world of this "cancer" word, we have a goal to send 6 walkers! It cost each walker a minimum of $2300. With help from donations of kind donors we put on a skeet shoot, live auction and GREAT BBQ dinner. We need your support again to make 2011 even more successful.
Shootin' For a Cure is a fundraiser event to help with a team of girls to acheive their goals by walking in the 3-Day, 60 mile walk. This event started in 2009 and we all hope that it continues for many more. Money raised goes to Susan G. Komen 3Day
